UK Wrestler of the Year

Noam Dar
On October 14, in the main event of a Revolution Pro show in Sittingbourne, the legendary Jerry Lynn took on a young man from Scotland named Noam Dar. Many fans and wrestlers fondly remember the classic Lynn versus Lightning Kid series from 1991, but Dar probably doesn't, because he was two years away from being born.

Indeed, FSM's UK Wrestler Of The Year is only 19 years of age, and remarkably, 30 years younger than his opponent that night. But in that match, he offered up the attributes that he's shown all year: poise and confidence beyond his years, excellent technical gifts, and an ability to connect with the audience.

Throughout 2012, Dar faced some of the best wrestlers and biggest stars from around the world: Prince Devitt, John Morrison, AJ Styles, Davey Richards and Sami Callihan, to name but a few. To say that he did not look out of place in these bouts would actually be a disservice to him, as he matched his opponents stride for stride. 2012 was a big year for Noam Dar, but much bigger things are yet to come.

Totals: 1. Noam Dar: 55%; 2. El Ligero: 19%; 3. Marty Scurll: 12%

Others (inc. Martin Kirby, Jack Gallagher, Mikey Whiplash, Lionheart, and Zack Sabre Jr.): 14%
