Chris Jericho: WWE Lives In Its Own World
The list of accomplishments attained by Chris Jericho in pro wrestling is laden with gold. Having won more championships than he could care to count, the popular grappler has elected to step away from the ring more often in recent years, devoting more time to his "outside projects" - most notably his rock band Fozzy.
Speculation has been heavy in recent months, ever since Jericho waved goodbye to the WWE spotlight in late-August (losing a stipulation match opposite Dolph Ziggler on Raw), on when he would once again return to wrestling. It seems no interview with Jericho is complete without these familiar questions being asked, and the man himself is more than happy to talk about it.
"I don't know if it's bullsh*t, but there is very much that attitude in WWE - sometimes 'if you're not with us you're against us'. It's been there so long I find it kinda weird. As you and I know, WWE lives in its own world and you can see that for any outside ventures that they do", Jericho told The Daily Star.
"I'm always cool with them and always open to going back, but it's difficult - I would have liked to have done more, maybe, but they want your time exclusively and the longer I've been there, the less time I have. Hopefully we'll work together in the future. If we don't, well, I can walk away knowing I had an amazing run and achieved everything I wanted to achieve in wrestling."
