Sheamus Responds To Steve Austin

Whilst writing his regular guest column in the pages of FSM, Steve Austin most certainly speaks his mind. Few (if any) current wrestlers would baulk at the prospect of advice from such a legendary figure, not that Austin is shy of giving it regardless. The multi-time World Champion recently spoke out on Sheamus, offering the following opinion:

"Sheamus is a big talented dude, no doubt about it. Can he get to where the company wants him to go? That remains to be seen, and there's a lot of work required from both him and the company in order to jump to that superstar level. He's doing fine for the amount of time he's been in the business, and there is no disrespect intended, but there are so many aspects that go towards making a guy draw money with the title"

Biding his time, the current World Heavyweight Champion elected to confront the comments on Twitter. "Appreciate words from @steveaustinBSR - i strive to get better everyday fella & hard work is something i love.. See me bring Hell in a Cell", Sheamus told followers.

"@WWESheamus Go get em, kid. Always be a student of the game and keep working hard. Safe travels. #respect from the #BSR", Austin said in reply.

As one of the most popular figures currently on WWE television, Sheamus has knuckled down and become a more well-rounded character in recent months. Were those actions prompted by the comments of Steve Austin? Possibly, but the big Irishman clearly has all the tools to be a mainstay in the WWE main event scene for years to come.

You can follow both Sheamus and Steve Austin on Twitter - @WWESheamus and @steveaustinBSR respectively. Please also use the hashtag #FSM.
