The Blue Meanie, Brian Heffron, announced via his MySpace blog (http://blog.myspace.com/thebluemeanie) that, following a few weeks of severe flu-like symptoms, he was diagnosed with Empyema and subsequently underwent surgery, during which part of his left lung had to be removed.
He was discharged last Thursday and is currently recouperating. Obviously, following a procedure of this severity, he will be unable to wrestle for some time ?it would be safe to assume that he will probably have to miss his scheduled appearance at 1PW’s Know Your Enemy weekend, but an official announcement has not yet been made.
We wish Brian ?one of the genuine good guys in the business ?a speedy recovery.
