Meet the Team
| Martin Mathers |

|
Position: Editor
Profile:
Having worked in magazines for nearly a decade and been a massive fan of wrestling since his days sat in front of TV's World Of Sport, Martin's perfectly suited to the needs of FSM. True, he's unlikely to step into the ring himself and the chances of seeing a photo of him without his shirt on are slim, but that doesn't stop him being passionate about the world of wrestling and as knowledgeable as a bag of grappling encyclopedias. Plus, he loves pie and that's always a good thing.

|

Profile:
Phil is the goo-roo of British wrestling. The man truly knows EVERYONE in the UK business, from wrestlers to promoters to cameramen and ring crew, and he has more than his fair share of notoriety with American wrestlers as well.

| James Denton |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
The man, the myth, the legend. Formerly the overlord (and mother/father) of FSM, James now takes pleasure in the simpler things in life: mixed martial arts, fine wines and not talking to people on the phone unless he absolutely has to. Citing Bruce Lee as a lifelong inspiration and knowing more ways to kill a man than Steven Segal, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme put together, FSM owes everything it has to him... and that includes the piles of washing-up he left on the kitchen sink.
Look for James' name on the top of FSM's MMA-related features - if it's by him, you know it'll be looking to kick your arse in the opening moments of round one.

| David West |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
“Be like water”, said Bruce Lee. David West tried that, but found it was much easier to be like beer. He watched UFC 2 live on pay-per-view and was scarred for life to learn traditional karate wasn’t the lethal killing system he’d been led to believe. He’s been writing about MMA since 2003 and just won’t quit, despite what people say. Buy his book “Chasing Dragons”. He needs the money to buy more beer.

| Michael Campbell |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
A Film Studies Graduate, and relative newcomer to the profession of writing, Michael Campbell has kept a keen eye on Pro-Wrestling since the heyday of Hogan, Savage and err, The Gobblygooker. He has a particular fondness for Ring Of Honor, Shimmer and old-fashioned storytelling. In recent years, he's enjoyed the company of Kenta Kobashi, been unable to communicate in English to Kevin Steen and interviewed Tracy Smothers, who still denies such a thing ever occurred. His work can also be found online as a contributor to www.ifight365.com and occasionally Pwinsider, while his growing appreciation for MMA has also led him to contributing to MMAUnlimited magazine.
|
| Luke Dormehl |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
Luke's been a wrestling fan for nigh-on two decades and an MMA fan for over one. As far as fanboy credentials go, he's travelled to Japan to witness the comeback match of Kenta Kobashi, been stretched by a female shoot wrestler, talked American foreign policy with a very drunk Sandman, eaten sandwiches with Kendo Nagasaki and been put in a headlock by Jimmy Savile.
As well as writing for FSM since issue 2, Luke has directed programmes for Channel 4 and contributed to SFX, The Chap, Blues & Rhythm, Inventor's Digest and far too many other magazines to remember. He also likes spotting the mistakes that Martin's written in text on the website... bah.

| Richard Luck |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
An award-winning feature writer, critic and author, Richard Luck works for film4.com when he isn't writing for FSM. A sometime contributor to Total Film, Empire, SFX and FHM, Richard's also written books on the Beastie Boys, Sam Peckinpah and Steve McQueen. A big fan of Dave Finlay, Nigel McGuinness, AJ Styles and the old NWO-era WCW, he lives in Camden with his lovely Australian fiancée and his escalating debts.
|
| Brian Elliott |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
A fan since the WWF's 1991 UK boom period, Brian Elliott has been in print on the subjects of professional wrestling and MMA for the last five years. Currently the Associated Press' correspondent for UK UFC shows, he's also written for the likes of the Canadian Press, The Sun and The Daily Mirror, and has featured as a guest analyst on Fight Network Radio.
|
| Dave Hardwick |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
Dave Hardwick is a Journalism graduate, raised on the supremely ropey WCW product of the early nineties. Some attribute his current devotion to TNA to be a result of this, though he would just argue that it handily lowered his expectations. When not scribbling for the mighty FSM, he can often be found at wrestling shows in Hampshire or helping to promote the areas NCW promotion. Having also written for publications such as NME, Dave is a bit of a music guru and particularly enjoys the collected works of James A. Johnston. He also regrets urging Brothers Ray and Devon to 3D a five-year-old.
|
| Rob McNichol |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
Rob has been with FSM since November 2006. His knowledge of wrestling history is vast, but it does not detract from his passion from the modern form of Sports Entertainment. He is a major writer for The Sun's online wrestling section, the UK's biggest online source for wrestling news. Rob lists Bret Hart, Chris Jericho and Mick Foley as his favourite wrestlers he has interviewed, and still has to pinch himself that not only does he get to meet and speak to these guys, but it's his job.
|
| Calum Waddell |

|
Position: Contributor
Profile:
Calum Waddell is an ertswhile film critic who has penned three books to date and co-written/ co-produced the documentary American Grindhouse. Watch for it. Wrestling-wise he's been a fan of the scripted sport since 1990 and has interviewed the likes of Rob Van Dam and Diamond Dallas Page for Fighting Spirit. Back in 1991, while just a kid, he went to a fancy dress party as The Ultimate Warrior. As a proud socialist, he thinks the ultra-Republican Warrior would not have approved...
